The Ted Hersey Dance & Music Marathon celebrates the life and work of Ted Hershey, a former principal dancer with the Hartford Ballet and co-founder of Works Contemporary Dance. Hershey died of AIDS in 1998. I had the privilige of performing Caribbean Breeze with the Caribbean American Dance Company at this event in 2010. The event provided a great preview of most of the areas dance companies. There was a good mix of modern, ballet, jazz, african and other styles of dance. Great event for the entire family.
This event takes place on Saturday March 12, 2011 at the Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford.
Tickets are $25 general admission, $10 seniors, students, Charter Oak and Let*s Go Arts! Members.
